Donations - Methods

Below is a range of alternative ways of making a donation.

You can make your donation by cheque, standing order, bank transfer, E-bay (via missionfish), Just Giving or Paypal via our online store. More information about each method is below. If you have any queries about any of the methods of payment, please contact us.

Standing Order or Bank Transfer

If you use online banking, you should be able to set up a standing order or make a bank transfer, the same way you would pay a bill, from the comfort of your own home using the bank details below. 

If you do not use online banking simply take the bank details below into your local branch of bank or building society, along with the amount you wish to donate, and how often you wish to make payments for example monthly, and ask them to set up a standing order or make a payment.

Ebay via Missionfish

A more fun way of donating!

When selling items on eBay you are given the option of donating to charity via a system called Missionfish. After entering the items description and uploading (or not) pictures for the item, there is a section to donate some of the proceeds to a nominated charity. Outpost is registered with them and can be found by using the search box. You can then choose how much (or little) to donate by selecting a percentage between 10% and 100%.

The final sale price is the one used to calculate the donation, and it is automatically deducted when the buyer pays for the item (you don't have to do a thing). If your E-bay account is set up to giftaid donations, we will receive that too. For more information visit the Missionfish website.

Dinner4Good

Raise money for charity, whilst enjoying dinner with your friends. For the details and information, please visit their website.  A short summary is below.

How it works:

•Anyone wanting to host a dinner firstly chooses the charity they want to support (Outpost).
•The host then sets up a Dinner Page and invite their friends using the automated system on this site.
•When the guests receive the email invitations they visit the host's Dinner Page, see who's coming, what's cooking and how much has been raised so far.
•They can then accept the invitation and donate online using their credit or debit card via Dinner4Good.com.
•By asking for donations via the website it removes the awkwardness of asking friends for money and the amounts can also be kept private.
•We arrange the collection of the online donation and all the paperwork for claiming back the Gift Aid (which adds 25% to the donation, courtesy of the taxman).
•Everyone has a great meal together, knowing that it's for a good cause - having fun has never been so satisfying!
•It gives charities a ready-made, low-cost and low-effort way to create an additional income stream that'll keep flowing and growing.
Once everyone sees how easy and fun it is, guests may want to hold a Dinner4Good of their own - and the whole process can keep repeating itself - raising more and more money for charity! We've designed the whole of Dinner4Good to be easy for everyone - charities, hosts and guests.

When it comes to your will it is only right that family and friends come first in your thoughts, but you may also want to think about leaving a gift to a cause close to your heart.

Leaving a legacy will cost you nothing today, but it will make a difference to the lives of the vulnerable young LGBT people of the future.

Events

There are hundreds of events and fun activites which take place throughout the UK every year and by taking part you can raise lots of money for charity. We would like you to consider taking part in an event on behalf of the Outpost Housing Project. You can have fun, keep fit and healthy AND help vulnerable young people all at the same time!

If you are going to participate in an event like the Great North Run, marathon, parachute jump or any other challenging event and would like to raise money for Outpost, please let us know!

We can provide sponsorship forms, support around on-line giving and maybe even a T-shirt for you to wear!
