Donations - Information
The Outpost is currently funded by Supporting People and a variety of charitable foundations. However the money received is time limited and in today's economic climate, more and more organisations are competing for available funding. With further funds we can improve the quality of our service, make it more sustainable, and help more young people in crisis.
Every donation - large or small - helps to make a real difference to the lives of young LGBT people in need. What your support can achieve:
£1.50 would pay the metro fare for a young person to attend a housing appointment. |
£10 would buy material or equipment when teaching skills for example cleaning or cooking. |
£50 will provide funding for the first week's shop of a young person moving into their new flat helping them become established with basic toiletries, cleaning materials and food. |
£500 will provide funding for a young person to access a course on Mountaineering in the Lake District, building independance, self confidence and leadership skills. |
£1,500 will enable us to provide a CRISIS fund for a year which we access to help prevent young people become the victims of sexual exploitation. |
£2,120 will completely furnish a new flat. We currently have 8 flats and would like to double the number of flats we can make available to young people in need. |
£3,500 would help us create and maintain a new drop-in facility to help equip young people with the skills they need to move on from our accommodation and live independently; and help us do preventative work with families to avoid young people becoming homeless. |
